Distribution Policy

Starlink software is available via WWW for Unix systems. The standard Starlink conditions apply to all Starlink Software Items. In obtaining any Starlink software you are deemed to have read and accepted these conditions.

Installation Procedure

Installation of Starlink Software Items is a two-stage process - first the item is `built' in a `source directory' and then the built files are `installed' beneath a user-specified, top-level directory. Software is usually available ready-built for all the platforms we support. For some items, source versions are also available.

From the full list of available software,

you will be led through the steps to get and install the software you require. However, in the event of problems, or out of general interest, you may want an in depth description of the process.
